Edgewood Animal Hospital is a full service small animal medical facility committed to providing high quality medical and surgical care to our patients. We are proud to offer state-of-the-art equipment, well trained, compassionate staff, and dedicated doctors. Our hospital is designed to help provide preventative medicine, early detection of diseases, and medical and surgical care when needed throughout your pet¹s lifetime. At EAH, we understand the special relationship between our patients and their people, and we are committed to providing personal attention to each individual¹s needs. We strive to not only provide excellent care for your pet, but also to help you learn how to help keep your furry friend happy and healthy.

Our Hospital

Edgewood Animal Hospital was established in 1971 by Dr. John Goedeken. Over the years, the building was remodeled and expanded several times to meet the changing needs of the flourishing practice. The ranks swelled to five doctors and many lay staff. In February of 2008 Drs. Bruce and Leigh Ennen purchased the hospital from Dr. Goedeken as he planned to retire. Edgewood Animal Hospital has always served the community well, and Dr. Bruce and Dr. Leigh plan to continue that tradition.

Several new doctors and technical staff have joined the practice since February to help expand the services we could offer to patients. These people were selected for their mastery of medical skills and commitment to patient care. They have distinguished themselves both in school and in the work place.

The computer system has been upgraded so all client and patient information is computerized, and radiographic and photographs can be downloaded into the patient file. Patient information is easily accessed from any of the 28 computers located throughout the building.

To improve our diagnostic abilities we have added a digital radiograph machine, ultrasound machine and all new laboratory equipment for onsite lab work. Surgery innovations include electrosurgery and laser surgery instruments, and new patient monitoring equipment. A therapy laser has been recently purchased to improve patient recovery and pain management.

Most importantly, we have invested time and resources to train and coordinate our health professional team. We are dedicated to continuing education for all of our staff so that we will always offer the latest medical recommendations. We are here to serve you, and to be a great place for people with pets.
