Chief Financial Officer

Joe lives in Parkview, Iowa with his wife of 39 years, Sandy. They have two grown children that live in the Quad City area. After getting an accounting degree, he worked in Ag Cooperatives for 33 years in various areas of responsibility with some connection to the accounting field. In 2003, he retired from the Ag Cooperative.

In 2005, he was approached about working part time for Drs. Bruce and Leigh Ennen at the veterinary hospital they owned in Davenport, Iowa. After doing various duties, they discovered that he had an accounting background and asked him to work in that capacity. When Drs. Bruce and Leigh Ennen sold the practice in Davenport, Joe agreed to come to Cedar Rapids and work for the new hospital. This opportunity has allowed him to keep busy and still have the free time he desires.

Practice Coordinator

Sue joined the staff of Edgewood Animal Hospital with the purchase of the practice by Drs. Bruce and Leigh Ennen. She has previously worked at other small animal practices in the Quad City area since 1987, and directly with the Ennens since 2002. She is a graduate of the American Animal Hospital Association VMDS Level I and VMS II.

Office Managers

Jessica joined the Edgewood Animal Hospital team in June 2008. She has worked in the veterinary field for 3 years, as both a receptionist and a veterinary assistant. Jessica came to Edgewood after working in an emergency veterinary clinic and truly enjoys seeing all of the happy, healthy pets that come in for routine care. She has a true love for all kinds of animals, but especially loves her canine companions. She shares her home with her boyfriend, CJ, a Rat Terrier, Harvey, and a Terrier Mix, Quinn. In her free time Jessica enjoys taking motorcycle trips with CJ, camping, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.

Heidi graduated Kirkwood Community College in 1999 with a diploma in small animal services. She always had a soft spot in her heart for animals and knew early on that she would follow this path. She has happily been in the companion animal field since 1999, and recently joined our staff in 2008. She is greeted at home by her dog, Abbie, a Chow/Lab mix, and her 3 indoor cats, Buddy, Junior, and Oliver.
