Emergency Care

In the past, Edgewood Animal Hospital has provided veterinary on-call service after normal business hours. The hospital was not staffed, but, if called, a veterinarian would come in to examine a sick pet. No staff stayed at the hospital overnight. We are no longer offering this service, as the Eastern Iowa Veterinary Specialty Center now has a full staff of veterinarians and technicians available for emergencies 24 hours a day, every day of the year. We feel it is in the best interest of the sick or injured patient to have a complete staff present to monitor and care for them.
