PRESCRIPTION DIETS: The original pet food designated to meet the needs of medical problems. Founded by Mark Morris, a Veterinarian in the 1950s. Now supplied by Hills Pet Nutrition, a division of Colgate Palmolive. Prescription diets are arguably the industry leader in medically targeted pet nutrition and in veterinary and client education related to nutrition. C/D, K/D, R/D, P/D, I/D, S/D, H/D, T/D, Z/D, N/D, and L/D are prescription diet choices.

SCIENCE DIET: Science Diet is supplied by Hills Pet Nutrition, the makers of prescription diets, this line of food is designed to supply proper nutrition for the various stages of your pet's life and provide aid in managing general areas of health care. These diets are less targeted and do not incorporate the most advanced technology that the prescription diets do.

EUKANUBA: This is Iams line of specialty pet food which is divided into two categories. The first line is the Veterinary Diet Line which is similar to Prescription Diet, and the second line is the "high end" Eukanuba Line which is similar to Science Diet. Eukanuba Diets are priced at the high end of the pet food market. In some instances they have unique properties which make them worth while. They are without a doubt quality products targeted toward the fastidious pet owner. In the Eukanuba Veterinary Line there are several products we commonly recommend and at times are the only diets available to fit the situation. These diets include Eukanuba Low Residue, F-P, Glucose Control, and Senior Plus. In the Eukanuba line (similar to Science Diet), the pet's life stages and size are enphasized. Growth, Maintenance, Reduced Calorie, and Large Dog are all choices. The Eukanuba Diets seem to be especially  beneficial in some cases of gastro-intestinal sensitivity and food allergy.

IVD: IVD is an extremely specialized line of pet foods and is arguably the industry sole provider of truly limited antigen diets for patients with food allergies. Selections include: Vension-Potato, Rabbit-Potato, Duck-Potato and Venison-Pea.

IAMS PET FOOD: Iams a popular, quality, "middle of the road", priced product line that has choices for the life stages of your pet. Puppy, Mini-Chunk, Chunk, Senior, and Less Active are popular dog choices while Kitten, Cat, and Less Active Cat are popular in the feline line.

WAYNES: Waynes product line provides a quality food at a very reasonable price. It is very popular with hunting dog folks, and those with large dogs desiring an economical quality food. It is a fairly high calorie food designed for the working dog. It comes in life stage selections like: Puppy, Maintenance-Bite or Chunk, and high calorie Gold Label. Sensible Choice is a Waynes high end specialty food. We inventory the Lamb/Rice formula, Puppy, Maintenance and Low Calorie selections. We feel this is the best Lamb/Rice food on the market. It is especially useful in gastrointestinal and food allergy cases.

CNM: This is a specialty food supplied by Purina, and targeted towards medical conditions to be specifically recommended by Veterinarians. (Similar to Prescription Diet) There are several selections in this line that we like. CNM-EN for cats with gastrointestinal (vomiting) problems, CNM-DM for diabetic cats, and CNM-NF for kidney failure in dogs and cats.
